Bula is proud to announce the addition of Paavo Tikkanen and Gaetan Chanut to its growing snowboard team roster.
Both athletes will be representing the 25-year old brand’s headwear program in addition to riding, filming and competing in Bula sponsored-competitions. Additionally, both athletes will be involved in development of forthcoming Bula styles.
A native of Helsinki, Finland, Paavo Tikkanen is best know as a solid park and pipe rider who has adapted his unique style to the backcountry. Living in Vancouver and riding Whistler, Paavo comes to Bula stronger than ever after recovering from recent injury. Industry insiders expect great things from him next year.

Gaetan Chanut hails from Quebec but has spent the last decade in Whistler shredding the backcountry. A true legend, he consistently films sick video parts year after year including insane parts in Treetop films, the ending segment in Mack Dawg’s Stand & Deliver and his segments with Without Films and the Wildcats, proving he’s one of the best out there.

“It’s
always fun to work with athletes like Gaetan and Paavo who want to get
involved with product and push boundaries,” said JF DuRocher, director
of marketing and team manager of Bula. “Paavo brings an incredible
style to Bula, while Gaetan’s backcountry abilities and experience will
be a great benefit in the development of the Weather Station line by
Bula.”
Paavo and Gaetan join fellow riders Steve Fisher, JF
Fortin, Brent Meyer, Matts Kulisek and Guillaume Beaudoin on the Bula
snowboard team. Bula is dedicated to supporting the snowboarding
community by building an A-list athlete roster and supporting the
industry through numerous events, most recently including the SMF Tour
and Jeep King of the Mountain Series.
